Introduction

 Urban Bushcrafts will try and serve as a resource of living skills. That cover both sustainable living crafts. Ofter modeled on Bushcrafts, or Survival crafts. But from a broad view point. That includes help for those living in a city, urban or country environment, instead of the deep woods or jungles.

For both fun, emergencies, grid collapse, economic limits and all forms of homelessness.

I will share what I feel are important skills to learn, resources and resource substitutes.


Some things will be my own views, trials, videos, etc.

But much will be links to other people's videos.


I will try to make both Blog and Facebook group follow the College #Chair and Hashmarks systems. Keeping subjects as while sorted as possible.

One a given subject or sub subject, I may share several how to videos from different sources. But pointing out how each may have expanded of an important, even if small feature or detail on making it work best. In the Blood each will be what I call living blogs, with new materials added as appropriate. 

In Facebook, Subjects or sub subjects fir postings will contain the Hashtag #Chair, and new materials added as comments by me.

Charcoal & Cast Metal-Ceramic Kiln

 While the YouTube link is to making Charcoal in smokeless process that makes use of the Woodgas given off for primary fuel source to make the charcoal One I believe can easily see how the exhausting burning Woodgate could also ok be used to melt some metals or bake ceramics.   #Charcoal #Chair #Urban #Bushcraft I find it very odd that I never read about all the advantages of making and using Charcoal. In Bushcraft, Preppie, Survivalist, etc groups. Just a few thoughts. 1) Easy to make. 2) Easy to light 3) Almost no visible Fames or Smoke. Important for stealth and improved security. 4) Reduced accidental fires starting. 5) A far more controlled heatfor cooking or other fire uses. 6) A much hotter fire, with forced air you can Iron forge with it. 7) Can be used as a water filter. 8) Used with tree resin, makes a water proof, epoxy like glue that is applied Ina melted state like hot glue. 9) Can be used in gun power making. 10) Can be used with clay or lime to make a concrete like material. 11) Better way to store or carry wood fuel. 12) Etc, etc. etc.
